A New American Revolution – Part II

It’s nice to see others starting to focus on America as our Founding Fathers intended it to be, rather than what it has become and where it seems to be heading.

The fact that the Supreme Court has had to hear arguments and will be ruling on the meaning of the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, should alarm America’s Citizens. The Second Amendment was written in English, and is quite self-explanatory. That some legal people want to twist it and dismantle it is atrocious.

Part II of our News With Views Article on the New American Revolution:

PART 2 of 3

In 1994 Congressman Newt Gingrich [R-GA], the minority whip, proposed a GOP Contract With America that led to the Republican Revolution in which the Democrats—who enacted NAFTA and started the jobs drain that has not let up in over a decade—lost control of both Houses of Congress for the first time since 1952. Under the Contract With America Gingrich pledged, first, to restore accountability to Congress and end waste and fiscal abuse. Under the Contract, the laws that apply to the rest of the country would also apply to those in Congress. The plan would cut the number of House committees and limit the terms of the Chairmen of those committees thus curbing the generational power structure of the people’s assembly. Assure an honest accounting of the budget through zero baseline budgeting and most of all, by requiring a three-fifths majority to enact a tax increase.

Gingrich also proposed a legislative agenda and promised to bring 10 specific pieces of legislation to the House floor for a vote within the first 100 days of the 104th Congress. The American people bought Gingrich’s pledge and the voters turned control of both Houses of Congress over to the Republicans largely because the Democrats sold them out and sent their jobs packing to Mexico.

Beginning in 1995 the special interest groups and the lobbyists for big business began writing checks in the names of the members of the new majority who kept their pledge during the 104th Congress but began to get used to the graft that poured money like Katrina waters over the broken levees in New Orleans into the campaign war chests of the new movers and shakers on Capitol Hill. Graft may be an acquired taste, but it seems once a Congressman or Senator samples it, the sweet savor of money is hard to resist.

Apparently the money is harder to resist than upholding the oath of office they all took to defend and protect the Constitution. And these are the same people we keep voting into office election after election. Makes you wonder what they are putting in the water to get the People to sheepishly obey, doesn’t it?

When Congressman Ron Paul embarked on the quest for the White House these were the things he thought about, and these were issues that troubled him. What also troubled him very much was the fact—and how well he grew to know it—unless the media anoints you as a first tier candidate you are doomed to run the silent race, and the electorate will not vote for you in numbers sufficient to prevail. No candidate can win the presidency without day-in, day-out TV news coverage. And the media only anoints those who get the nod from the crown heads of industry and banking. The fact that Ron Paul—the 5th most senior Congressman in Texas—became the top GOP presidential money-raiser in the 4th quarter of 2007 speaks volumes for the love and respect the American people have for this man.

Dr. Ron Paul has become the “can-do” man. While the merchant princes and lords of industry have placed the White House out of his grasp, Dr. Paul has captivated a nation, and those he has captivated who proudly call themselves soldiers in the Ron Paul Revolution are fighting now to give Dr. Paul the other House—on the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue—the US House of Representatives.

Dr. Paul is offering the American people a new prescription to revitalize America. The Ron Paul Revolution is phase two of the Republican Revolution. Only this time around, no empty promises. Dr. Paul’s plan to revitalize prosperity in America is a four-point program that entails tax reform, spending reform, monetary policy reform and regulatory reform.

Being that Ron Paul has raised more money than the other candidates, doesn’t it make you wonder how the others are in the front running? You cannot raise the most money without having a goodly number of people behind you. And in Ron Paul’s case, those people are common citizens, NOT corporate powers.

So once again, we are being shown who really controls the election process…………..hint: it’s NOT us.

It is long past time that WE took back control of our government and elected officials. It’s long past time that those elected officials actually started representing the people who pay their salaries, OR they should stop taking the salary and learn to live of the millions their puppet masters give them.

Some Quotes from Thomas Jefferson to remind us:

  • When the government fears the people there is liberty; when the people fear the government there is tyranny.
  • I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. Already they have raised up a moneyed aristocracy that has set the Government at defiance. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs.
  • Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of the day; but a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished period, and pursued unalterably through every change of ministers (adminstrators) too plainly proves a deliberate, systematic plan of reducing us to slavery.
  • I am for a government rigorously frugal and simple. Were we directed from Washington when to sow, when to reap, we should soon want bread.
  • Yes, we did produce a near-perfect republic. But will they keep it? Or will they, in the enjoyment of plenty, lose the memory of freedom? Material abundance without character is the path of destruction.

  1. Now is the time to:
    1. Cut & Slash Government Spending
at the Federal and State Levels.
We have to get back to basics.
BIG Government is a luxury that the American People
    can no longer afford.

    2. Stop Outsourcing and Offshoring.
Bring the JOBS back to the USA.
People can not pay their mortgages unless they have JOBS.

These 2 simple things will have a tremendously positive effect WITHOUT printing more money.

Printing money and bailing out worthless loans will definitely make the situation worse !

  2. im young and after a mere 2.5 decades this country isnt the country i was born into, and is far from the country our grandparents and great grandparents were also born into. I want to leave the US sometimes. This country is a joke to the whole world and is slowly destroying itself through the goverment we allow to exist. UNTIL THE PEOPLE ALL THE PEOPLE say enough were all doomed. An example of the corruption is there is no equality and justice for the comon citizen anymore. Look at the news (Example) “star”/”politicain” was caught with 2 grams of cocain while driving drunk and the week b4 they got 2 dwi’s but they are now home restin comforably. If that was you or me there wouldnt of been a second charge at all because after the first DWI I woulda been in the local jail in general population around childm olesters, drug deqalers, maybe rapist s and murderers waiting on a bail that would be way too high to pay. Then if I got bail I would have to go to REAL COURT and be treated like scum and probally thrown back in jail for a year any ways. If I was caught with 2 grams of coke i would probally be sentenced to at least 5 years in prison with the other charges pending. Now if I was the affore mentioned “star”/”politician” I would just pad a few pockets and maybe do 2 hours in booking signing autographs waitin to be let go. Most the charges would disappear totaley including off my crimal record like it never happened. In the end they might make me ware a ankle braclet (omg im stuck in my 10 million dollar home with an olympic swimming pool golf course tennis court and u name it) and do some community service. You just have to look at Britney Spears for an example(look up her news stories for past 2-4 years); how is a crazy drug addict allowed to roam the streets let alone be in proceedings to get her kids back and walkin around free? would you be walkin around out of jail if you did half of what she has done? America FREEDOM AND JUSTICE FOR ALL as long as your famous rich or in the goverment. This is a just a small rant on the curent state of the union I guess you can say and this did go alil off topic but it all comes back to a broken corrupted system that needs to be changed but never will till WE THE PEOPLE make it!
